General Conference!!
My week has been pretty laid back and the same routine every single day! We wake up and do the normal exercise and studies, and after that we just call people! We call people from the area book or the ward list for about 4 hours, and then we try to teach lessons with our amigos for about 3 hours. People don't really like to answer their phones though... Of the 45 people we call in an hour, maybe 7 we actually talk with. And, another day all 8 of our people we had lessons planned for were canceled, but we ended up getting more contacts in that day so it worked out.
The work is going slower for the mission as a whole due to quarantine, but the people who we do talk with have been pleasant! So that's a bonus! Oh, and Mario, the person we put on date for baptism gave us the wrong address last month when we started teaching him and turns out he wasn't in our area, so we had to give him to another set of Elders. It was really hard for me because we worked so hard with him. I just had to remind myself it doesn't matter where he is baptized because in the end he is coming to Christ and that is all that matters!
Here are some things that broke up some of the mundaneness of this week!
1. I got chased by 2 dogs! During our morning jog one day2 dogs went under their fence and started coming after us! I haven't met an actually mean dog here yet, so maybe they were just wanting to play, but I didn't feel like finding out! So we just ran as fast as we could until we didn't hear anymore barking. It was a great workout!
2. I made brownies! I know that doesn't sound too exciting but I made them with out measuring cups or real butter, and I had to start my oven with a match. So it was just a little bit different than what I was used to! And it is the small things in life that bring joy. But they turned out fantastic! Tasted like home!
3. General Conference and Easter! General conference was amazing as always and I can't wait to go back and listen to everything again! I have such a firm testimony that every person who spoke is really called of God. I had never looked forward too or needed a general conference so much, and it did not disappoint!
Easter was fun! The only thing we did to celebrate was eat eggs for breakfast and have chocolate candies while we watched the conference, but it was a good day! I am eteranlly grateful for the Savior's Atonement.
I hope that you guys all have a great week! Don't forget to smile!
Pictures!! Brownies, walking to conference, and a pretty morning here in Pudahuel, and a Easter package from my Mamma!
