Week 27 - Missionary or Tourist? How about both!
Hey howdy hey!!
This week has honestly been straight up unbelievable in just about every way.
Let's start with the unbelievable success in the missionary work: we found 2 new people to teach, Ted, Angela, and Denise all came to church, AND..... Angela and Denise are both on date to be baptized and Ted is right on his way as well!!
K, then we have Wedensday. So, Mt. Rushmore is in our mission boundaries, and President Howell likes to have every missionary have a chance to see it before they go home, and Sister Taylor hasn't seen it before, so we got to drive down to Mt. Rushmore for the day! We saw the big old thing itself, the museum, gift shops, ate at a fantastic German restaurant, saw Crazy Horse and downtown Rapid City, and just enjoyed driving through the beautiful Black Hills!

But wait, there's more! So there's an old town by Dickinson called Medora that is chock full of history about Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders. Their legitimate bank looks just like the old one. It's incredible! Even better, they have an outdoor musical there every evening all about the town's history, Teddy Roosevelt, America, and God, with country music and banjos and fiddling on top of it all. And guess what? A wonderful member, Sister Dustin, took us to see it. She showed us the whole town, got us pizza for dinner, and ice cream after. WE. DON'T. DESERVE. HER. Even before that, she was basically my favorite member ever. She feeds us weekly and is SOO fun to talk with and is very helpful in the work. Her and I get along super well.
The church is true, my friends and fam. The church is true. Also, no, I'm not being disobedient. We lost 4.5 hours of our pday to meetings yesterday, so we get to make those 4.5 hours up today! I love you all.
Have a great week!
