Week 32 - WE NEED YOUR HELP (nothing bad happens, promise)

 Hello hello!

Be sure to read the paragraph about the music video!!

This week flew by in comparison to last week, which felt like a literal eternity. I know that I did things, but I mainly did a couple of big things rather than many little things, so this email might actually end up not extremely gargantuan in length! Woohoo!

We made two videos this week which was a party. One of them was an interview with a family history GENIUS! It's yet to be edited, and we aren't sure when we're planning on posting it, but it was honestly just cool to talk to her. She gave me a whole new perspective on family history work!

Video number two is a music video of Sister Astle singing a beautiful song called "His Name," accompanied by yours truly. So, there are some elders in Killdeer who made a music video a while back with a song they wrote called "Born Again." It's good; in fact, it's the number one video on our page. For no real reason except a spirit of healthy competition, Sister Astle and I have precisely one thing we want to accomplish: beat that video. For that to happen though, WE NEED YOUR HELP (thus the title). For those of you who don't know, our Facebook page is The Church of Jesus Christ in Dickinson, ND. Our music video is going up on Friday at 6:00 and it's actually premiering Live. It's going to be SOOO cool. If you think you're likely to forget, when you go to our page and you see under the videos section our upcoming premiere, you can actually select to get a reminder. Pause reading this and go do that. Hey thanks! Hope you were able to find that ok. Now, on the day of, we need 3 things: you to like, comment, and share. We are determined to have this thing B L O W  U P Facebook. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Getting it all figured out was a mess and a half though. We were looking at our schedule on Tuesday and realized the only time we would have to get this sucker done was that night.... yeah, we then were frantically texting every member trying to find someone with a portable piano keyboard, coordinating getting the elders to come help film, then filming what we could in about 20 minutes because the elders were over 20 minutes late and the sun wasn't going to wait for them. It was chaos, but it got done!! God will ALWAYS provide a way!

K, another video we made was our live video on Wednesday night. Oooooh boy, if you want to laugh at me, go watch that. We talked about Daniel and the lion's den while trying to recreate a painting of Daniel and the lion's den. It was soooooo bad XD

Another thing I learned this week: the bishop's wife here has become my favorite person. She calls us up just to talk, feeds us, and basically has adopted us. I love her so much.

Last SUPER cool thing: Sister Astle and I started teaching one of my super good friends from 10th grade and she is asking such good questions and genuinely wants to learn! Man, it's so cool to witness and be a part of. Plus now I just get to talk to my friend throughout the week and it's missionary work. SO fun.

That's all, folks!
