Week 42 - Back to Bismarck!

 Hello hello!

I hope everyone is doing well. I have officially recovered from COVID! I was technically released from quarantine according to the state on Halloween, but stayed in for another day due to Sister Astle's quarantine. Unfortunately, on Saturday all of a sudden she says "I can't taste this," then the next day she couldn't smell, and voila! She now finally has COVID after 23 days of being around positive cases. Poor girl. On the bright side, that actually shortens her quarantine by three days!

The big news of the week is yesterday, I finally got transferred! That was supposed to happen on October 14, so it's been a long time coming. Now that it is halfway through the transfer, I'm with my companions and in my area. I'm serving in Bismarck again! Different ward, but it's still cool. Honestly, it feels really weird to be back; it's like deja vu. I can't believe I get to be companions with Sister Baird again! We're already having a blast together. Saying goodbye to Dickinson just about broke my heart though. Telling Angela and Ted goodbye was the hardest part of all. I lived in Dickinson for six months straight, and honestly had started to think of it as my home. I had friends and friends who were like family there. Leaving felt more like moving away then being transferred. If you've never served a mission, those might sound like the same thing, but there's a completely different feel to it. Hopefully living in Bismarck starts to feel a bit more normal as time goes on... My other companion is Sister Cutler, and she is an absolute sweetheart. I'm excited to get to know her better; I already know we're going to get along swimmingly.

I don't know if I'll be starting my office work tonight or tomorrow, but that will definitely be interesting. I'm a little nervous from the anticipation and the unknowns, but mostly I'm just excited! It'll be nice to have new things to write about in these emails hahaha. I'm trying to think if anything really happened this whole last week... honestly, not really. Unless you count that the snow all melted and it looks like fall again! That is genuinely the most noteworthy thing I have to say. Wow, that is sad. Apparently Halloween happened, which is cool I guess, but literally nothing that happened that day felt like Halloween to me; it was just another day haha. The best part about Halloween was that the next day was November 1, which is when I officially feel justified in wanting to listen to Christmas music and getting pumped about the season!

I love you all, and I'm excited to see what this next week brings so I can tell you all about it! Have a great week, stay safe, stay healthy, and say your prayers!
