Week 7 - Miracles

 Hello everyone!

As always, I hope you're all doing well. I love you all!

Drum roll please...... Kimberly is getting baptized on March 21!!! Words cannot describe how happy I am for her. God truly is good. This church is true! We were talking with her last night, and it was so cute, she was talking and casually during her sentence she said "since joining this church" and kept going, but you bet we heard it! She already loves this gospel so much, and she said, "you know, while I was at church I was thinking, I want to be baptized." It was amazing!! I love her so much. We also got to go support her at her orchestra concert yesterday, and some of the young women in the ward also came. The members of the ward reaching out to her and loving her has made such a big difference.

We got to have some conference this last Thursday which was incredible! 7 straight hours of spiritual feasting with my fellow missionaries and leaders. My mission president and his wife are incredible and so supportive!

The Star Wars fanatic we visit showed us ALLL his treasures. So did we try on mandolorian and storm trooper helmets and have lightsaber fights? Obviously! Good times haha.

Ok, quit rant about the importance of ministering time. As missionaries, we visit members that are struggling a lot. As we have, I cannot tell you how much of a difference having people in the church reaching out to these people has helped them. I've also seen some men and women who are incredibly lonely and hurting who have no one. No one visits them, no one brings them a meal, gives them a call, nothing. It breaks my heart. Please make sure that you each do all you can to take care of those around you who are hurting. Be an answer to somebody's prayer.

One thing I've learned this week that I wanted to share is that our lowest lows, our shortcomings, and our mistakes can be the biggest tools for helping those who feel they are beyond the Savior's atonement. Being able to help others with what I've been through has brought me more peace about my trials than anything else ever has.

Other little things of the week: Marsha, Kimberly's mom, taught us how to make a chocolate mug cake that is SO easy. 1 egg, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa powder. Microwave it for a minute, and voila! Slap some fudge on top and you're in a very happy place. Also, two people now have called me out on having an accent!!! What?!? I had no idea. You know, I think they're the weird speakers, but alas.

Also went tracting for the first time since coming out here, and we met a super awesome guy from Serbia who's open to coming to church with us and getting to know us better! Half the reason why we did tracting (which really isn't the most effective way to do missionary work at all) is because the weather was SO nice! It was over 50°, so we were out just to walk around without jackets. It did wonders for the soul!

Love you all! Have a wonderful week ❤
